Beth has made her living with a lathe for forty years, turning everything from towering architectural columns and spiral stairway balusters to palm-sized sculptures and a range of seating. And she has taught thousands of people to turn, whether she was barnstorming across the country in her specially outfitted van or settling for weeks or months at a time at schools from Maine’s Center for Furniture Craftsmanship to Washington State’s Port Townsend School of Woodworking.
